This was an effective use of simple map images in an animation. We used high definition map images from Nearmap that allow businesses to review satellite photography on targeted areas over time. Basically choose a location and a date and then download images. As Jordan Springs logo incorporates a bird, we wanted to provide the sensation of a bird taking flight over the land. so tilt effects were used on the map and this gave the animation depth, perspective while making an otherwise boring image come to life.
The key communication objective was to convey that Jordan Springs had become an established community. The masking unveils the growth of the new community over time and this is further complemented with statistics.
